Nanpean is a village in the Parish of St Stephen, situated between St Austell and Newquay and just a short drive from the A30 means great access to all of the delights Cornwall has to offer. There is a rich mining heritage in the area, with China Clay being the mineral of choice. If you wish to learn more, a visit to the China Clay Museum during your stay is well worth a trip. The golden sands and crashing surf of the beaches around Newquay are a 15-minute drive to the north. The Eden Project, Carlyon Bay and the Roseland peninsula with its picturesque fishing villages are 20 minutes to the south. The cathedral city of Truro and a wide range of shops, pubs and restaurants are also within easy reach.

Electricity, heating, bed linen and towels are included, but you will need to provide your own beach towels. There is parking for 1 car in the dedicated parking slot. No smoking,

Nanpean is a very central location, very close to the main A30 dual carriageway and therefore a fantastic base to explore this beautiful county.

To the north are Newquay, with its plethora of fine golden beaches and relaxed surfing culture, or the picturesque seafront in Padstow, with fine restaurants and pubs. Or you can travel south, to the world famous Eden Project, the cathedral city of Truro, the idyllic and fashionable Roseland Peninsula or vibrant Falmouth. With great access to the A30 going further west is an option and here you might choose to walk out to St Michael's Mount at low tide or take the boat trip when the tide is in, explore rugged Lands End with its imposing granite cliffs or saunter through stunning St Ives. All of these are well worth the trip.

St Wenn and the Ruthern Valley is one of Cornwall's undiscovered charms, stunning wooded valleys with glistening streams burbling over granite pebbles. It is only 5 miles from Wadebridge and the A39 providing superb links to the stunning array of north coast beaches from Newquay up to Bude the choice is astonishing, factor in the delights of Padstow or St Ives and this will prove to be a home away from home that you will return to in a flash.Cornwall has a vast amount of places to visit.  You will find a wide range of leaflets and booklets at the cottage to help you decide your day. If you wish to dine out in the evenings, we can recommend various places, dependent on your taste, there is certainly plenty of choice to suit all tastes.  We will endeavour to help you with any information you require, just ask.

There are some wonderful places to visit during your stay.  Padstow, the home of famous chef Rick Stein is only 14 miles away, Watergate Bay has a fabulous stretch of beach and walks along with Jamie Oliver's famous Fifteen Cornwall restaurant overlooking Watergate Bay .   Port Isaac, famous for its stunning location used for the  tv programme  Doc Martin,  is approximately 16 miles away.

Charlestown near St Austell has another lovely bay and harbour which houses 3 tall ships and a maritime museum.  These listed are only a few which are highly recommended by us to visit during your stay.
